Skills :

  • Aptitude for writing blogs and stories basis leads from current affairs

Skills Required:

  • Complete writing and technical edits of legal websites. A technical write-up/edit should include creation of original content and/or review and correction of errors involving:
  • Spelling
  • Punctuation
  • Grammar
  • Sentence structure (syntax errors)
  • Word usage (i.e., "their" "there" "you're" "your")
  • Voice consistency (i.e., singular - plural "we - our" "I - my")
  • Adhering to style guidelines and ensuring all content matches those guidelines
  • Recommend improvements to website copy and editorial materials
  • Adhere to documented processes and best practices
  • Create custom content for law firms

Job Description :
  • 0 to 6 months of related experience writing or editing content intended for a US audience
  • Familiarity with standard PC-based business systems including Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledgeable in Associated Press (AP) style. (As part of the application process, candidates will be given a copy editing test that evaluates knowledge of AP style.)
  • Familiarity with the Economist Stylebook or other style manuals preferred but not required
  • Should be familiar with Web 2.0 technologies, and preferably have experience with content management systems in a Windows environment
