Criteria :
- BE/BS/B.Tech in Computer Science.
Skills :
- BE/B.Tech of Testing primarily in Multimedia module under Android OS environment.
- Sound Knowledge of Android OS Architecture and Embedded Platforms subsystem.
- Strong technical knowledge and test expertise in major areas related to Multimedia Concepts. –One need to know Android MM framework, various audio/video codec, container, streaming, DRM, Video/MM Quality Testing Aspects – using automated FWK & associated usecases
- Experience in Test & Bug Management tools such as Jira/Dev Test/Confluence and fully understands Software Testing Life Cycle.
- Excellent analytical skills with exposure to logs parsing, add initial level of root cause to the problem and identify valid error prints etc.
- Required to have knowledge of at least one programming/scripting language skills on Python/Shell
- We need Self-driven individual contributor with minimal supervision.
- We need strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills with significant teamwork
- Should have deep understanding of Multimedia features.
- Expert and working knowledge of multimedia concepts such as framerate, sampling frequency, bitrate, common encoding formats, containers such as H.264, MP4, AAC etc. & compression quality
- Should be proficient in building test setups, should have good HW and SW troubleshooting skills.
- Should be able to develop test strategies, high quality test plans and test execution.
Responsibility :
- Read and understand project requirements, customer use cases & specifications, drive test strategies for new Multimedia features in Embedded Android platform.
- Need to collaborate with various teams including project management, software developers, marketing and should be providing technical analysis and ability to periodically publish statistical data reports to all stake-holders
- Develop & execute manual and automated tests, report defects, provide first level of analysis.
- Testing for functional, Stress-Stability, Performance, Compatibility and User Experience for the overall project assigned.
- Bring new innovation in validation to catch software stack issues with optimized test case execution thereby continuously developing domain expertise
- Automate tests using internal and open source tools & infrastructure assisted tools.
- You must review bugs on regular basis, perform RCCA on End-User bugs & apply improvement towards Quality of Bugs & Test cases.
- Work with Software Development Engineers to understand the overall system software architecture and how each feature is implemented. Follow feature validation process.
