Position Responsibilities Work in close partnership with an agile development team to analyze project/ product requirements and/ or testing needs in order to create and execute a comprehensive test strategy including both functional and technical/ system- level testing. Write and execute effective manual and automated test plans and test cases. Document defects and track issue resolution. Escalate issues and potential issues to the agile development team and management Setup and maintain test environments Aid in estimating work effort for projects and manage work to meet the project schedules. Actively participate with the team in software requirements, design, and code reviews to provide early and continuous quality feedback. Adhere to process, tools, and metrics standards within the development team Work with the team to continually improve test processes and practices based on inspection/ adaption of previous iterations. Proactively seek ways to incorporate new/ creative ideas and methodologies into testing efforts by keeping abreast of current methodologies, technologies and tools. Perform all of the above duties independently and along with other QA Analysts, with moderate supervision, keeping managers, team members, and stakeholders informed of progress Position Requirements Required Skills/ Knowledge/ Experience: BE/ BTech degree in Computer Science or related technical field Ability to develop test cases and test plans independently Highly motivated self- starter with advanced capability to quickly learn, and work with new technologies and complex technical environments, including a variety of databases and operating systems 3+ years of in- depth experience and demonstrated proficiency with QA methodology, process, and deliverables Extensive experience with test case and test plans and should be able to perform both independently. Extensive knowledge of test process, principles and testing techniques (functional, automated, GUI, database, web, command line, etc.) Experience in relational databases and SQL development Strong debugging and logical problem solving skills. Should be able to independently troubleshoot test environments. 1 to 2 years of demonstrated proficiency with Test automation tooling and frameworks Experience with Java and Selenium Experience testing multi- tiered web based systems and data- driven applications Strong Experience with modern software development practices (test- driven development, Agile continuous integration) Experience working in Agile Development teams Demonstrate ability to check areas of the program and locate defects missed by other QA Analysts Display a high- level of initiative and troubleshooting skills in stressful situations. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and strong teamwork relationships. Desired Skills/ Knowledge/ Experience: Experience of Agile software development practices such as XP, Lean Agile, and Scrum Proficiency in Test Management tools (Microsoft Team System Test Edition, Quality Center, Test Director, ALM Complete, open source, etc.
